The crew of Al Lewis Construction of Blowing Rock contracted the renovation project which included recycling, re-using, and implementing "green" materials like the recycled counter tops in the kitchen. Sam Calhoun from the High Country Press covered this project nicely. | It is a sad day. The Champion Willow near Two Rivers Community School in Boone, NC is down. This branching beauty, along with many other trees in the area, was lost to the severe ice storm that the High Country encountered over the Christmas break. Arborists were called in to determine whether or not she would make it - to no avail. She will be greatly missed.
